Frampton Country Fair 2014

The sun rose on another warm, sunny day in England. Yes you read correctly, sunny and England in the same sentence. According to the Met Office, this September has been the driest on record for a century. The time is 8am and the bustling crowds go on a mission to set up their stalls before the fair opens. I am one on them, preparing for a tidal wave of enthusiastic visitor. Over 40,000 people have flocked to see the motorbikes of the ‘Royal Signals, White Helmets’ burst through rings of fires, parachutists from ‘Jump 4 Hero’s’ descend into the main arena, elaborate dressage performances and beautiful falconry displays, to name but a few attractions.

On this eventful workday, it could have been quite easy for me to photograph nothing. However the short breaks for food or to get stock give me the opportunity to document the atmosphere.
