Leica M9 Photo Walk – Bristol

Exploring and photographing the streets of any village, town or city is always exciting and rewarding. I usually find several moments or subjects to photograph that redefines my views of the place. It always feels like unraveling a detective mystery set in the past and future, as both the culture and the architecture hints at the the changes that are happening or have happened.

The trick is to observe the passing moments that combine with the permanent structural surroundings. The passing people, the changing weather, the time of day, the shadows and the reflections, which are like the icing on a cake, they create the finish article. These ephemeral moments have always fascinated me and have had a profound effect on the way I work with photography.
